Event Terms

1. Event Definition
For the purpose of these Terms, “Event” refers to any Workshop, Summit, Conference, Symposium, Seminar, Livestream, Webinar, or other event convened or managed by Water Quality and Health Network (" WQHN" )
WHQN operates under ABN 84123926956
By registering for or attending an Event, you (“Delegate”) acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which constitute a legally enforceable agreement.

2. Event Registration and Tickets
Delegates must present valid tickets on their phone or printed format for entry.
Each registration is individual and non-transferable unless approved by Jazcorp in writing.
Registration constitutes an agreement to attend but does not create a consultancy or contractual relationship with Jazcorp beyond Event attendance.
3. Payment, Refunds, and Cancellations
Full payment must be received no later than 24 hours prior to the Event. Jazcorp reserves the right to refuse entry to unpaid delegates.
No refunds apply unless WQHN cancels the Event.
In the case of State or Federal lockdowns, State of Emergency declarations, or other force majeure, WQHN may postpone or reschedule the Event.
Delegates may transfer tickets to another person provided name, email, and phone details are supplied at least 24 hours prior to the Event. Credits may be issued at WQHN ’s discretion; no refunds apply.
3. Auslan Interpreters, Captions, and Livestream
WQHN cannot guarantee the availability of Auslan interpretation, captioning, or livestream services due to cost, demand, or third-party availability.
Delegates acknowledge that any such services are provided by third parties and WQHN accepts no liability for accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
4. Event Content and Speaker Disclaimer
WQHN takes reasonable steps to ensure all speakers are of good standing but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content presented.
Speaker views, opinions, and materials are those of the speaker alone and do not necessarily reflect WQHN ’s views.
If a scheduled speaker cannot attend, WQHN may substitute a speaker of comparable expertise. WQHN is not liable for any damages, losses, or inconvenience caused by changes to the speaker lineup.
5. Delegate Conduct
Delegates must behave respectfully, act ethically, and comply with all applicable laws.
Delegates are solely responsible for their interactions and conduct during the Event, including communications with other delegates, staff, or speakers.
WQHN cannot control all content shared or presented by delegates or third-party presenters. Delegates must exercise due diligence.
Unsafe, inappropriate, harassing, discriminatory, or offensive conduct will not be tolerated. Delegates may be removed from the Event without refund.
Delegates are responsible for any property damage they cause at the Event.
6. Alcohol and Substance Use
Delegates may consume alcohol only in moderation where permitted. Excessive consumption or intoxication is strictly prohibited.
Delegates must not use, possess, or distribute illegal substances at the Event.
Delegates are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others while consuming alcohol or participating in any Event activity.
Delegates requiring assistance related to intoxication, unsafe behaviour, harassment, or other incidents may approach WQHN staff or designated personnel for support.
7. Safety and Liability
Delegates acknowledge that Jazcorp and its subsidiaries take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants but accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from the unsafe or inappropriate conduct of delegates themselves.
Delegates agree that WQHN , its subsidiaries, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates accept no liability for loss, injury, or damage, whether directly or indirectly arising from attendance, participation, or reliance on Event content.
8. Insurance
Delegates are responsible for arranging appropriate personal insurance for attendance, travel, or participation in Events.
WQHN Is not liable for any costs, charges, fines, or losses incurred by delegates in attending or participating in Events.
9. Photography, Recording, and Intellectual Property
By attending, delegates irrevocably grant WQHN and its subsidiaries the right to record images, voice, or video (“Recording”) for marketing, archival, or production purposes.
Delegates release WQHN from any claims relating to the use of Recordings and acknowledge that no monetary compensation will be provided.
Requests to not use Recordings must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the Event by emailing admin@jazcorpaustralia.com.au
WQHN retains all rights, title, and interest in recordings and Event materials.
10. Waiver of Liability
Delegates acknowledge and agree that WQHN its subsidiaries, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates accept no liability for loss, injury, or damage, whether directly or indirectly arising from attendance, participation, or reliance on Event content.
